Going Green!

Kennedi was given a homework assignment to construct a Leprechaun trap for St. Patrick's Day. Her and Daddy spent an evening in the garage and voila! With the use of our Chuck E. Cheese gold coin stash and a trap inspired by our mouse trap game, Kennedi is confident that she will be the first person on earth to catch the elusive Leprechaun!
Another Green movement in the household...Organic! We have been taking baby steps ever since Kennedi was born to eat more organic food. We began with dairy products and have added on as we found products more widely available and affordable. Well, we recently discovered Eden's Organics, an organic produce delivery service. Our first delivery arrived yesterday and we LOVE it! Everything was much fresher than the organic you find at the store, and most is grown locally! The only thing that did not make it in this picture is the pint of blueberries, which the girls devoured before I could get a picture!

Organic produce is undeniably better for the earth. My patriarchal blessing speaks directly to me about protecting the environment, so I feel this is one way I am meeting my obligation to do so. We certainly are not even close to perfect in this area, but we're working on it!

What a cute girl. Maybe Aunt Megan could give her a few pointers about Leprechauns! It would be fun to "spring" the trap and have the Leprechaun "get away"!

Good find on the organic produce delivery! Glad it turned out to be worthwhile. The organic produce in the stores is usually pretty sad!

I've always wanted to try one of those grocery delievery services. I've heard they aren't unreasonable! One thing I LOVE about Washington is all the farmer's markets for locally grown & organic produce. Do you have one where you are?

I really enjoyed reading about your miracles. How amazing that your kids were not sick and you could spend every moment with Belinda, and how amazing that your surgery was paid for! And congratulations on your boy!!

You'll notice how your immune systems will start becoming better with introducing organic produce. The pesticides in non-organic food weigh down your immune system. You'll also notice that it tastes a lot stronger so you'll need less. I think that's great that you get it delivered!

That trap is sweet! I don't know though, catching a Leprechaun is tricky business!!!

I'm so jealous you have a delivery service!!! I would love that! Way to go green!

Glad to be able to see your blog again! CONGRATS on the baby boy coming your way! How exciting!! It's amazing how much healthier you feel when you eat organic, maybe it's a state of mind. But they definitely seem better for you.

I just realized I hadn't commented yet on this post. Kennedi looks so cute in braids. I've decided I need to go to "hair school" just to learn how to do girl's hair! The trap looks very ingenious. I think that is anyone could've caught one, it would've been her!

I love the produce picture. I'm glad you guys are getting such healthy, delicious foods and caring for the earth, too. I feel so bad here in Utah, because even recycling isn't much of an option here. Enjoy some luscious berries for me!
