Klare Bear

From the first moments you have a new baby in your arms, you are trying to get to know them. Watching their expressions, guessing what they are thinking, just dying to know what is going on in that little mind of theirs...and then they start to tell you. Whoa mamma....This girl has a mind of her own! One recent story comes to mind.......While at a farm over Beaster Weekend, Klare went running towards one of the cages to look at the animal inside. In the process of running, she tripped over a root and did a hard face plant in the dirt. Not to be embarrassed, because she knew we all saw what had happened, she quickly blurted, "I'll just watch like this!" and propped her head up with her hands under her chin while still laying on the ground! What?! Uncle Mark (and the rest of us) nearly split a rib at her quick try to play it all off like it was planned. She is SUCH a character. She does not like the spot light, good or bad.
My slippers were missing for 2 weeks... I looked EVERYWHERE! Other little toys were starting to disappear as well. I was completely baffled, until one day I caught her in the act. Kennedi had something Klare wanted, and Klare was waiting for a turn. The next thing I knew Klare is darting into the front room and pitching something behind our chair. I went to recover the item and discovered, "KLARE'S STASH!" You can see my brown sherpa slippers and many other miscellaneous items she felt were treasures. She's like a little Squirrel! What a nut!
More than anything, Klare is all heart. I've had to really pray and focus on her to learn what it is that makes her tick. This is a girl who knows exactly what she wants. If you want her to do something, you better make her think it was her idea. :) She is the perfect compliment to our little family, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be the mother of this spirited, amazing girl.

That falling down story is hilarious! It reminds me of the "donkey!" ride. I wish we could be around more to get to know her better.

that is a great story about how your daughter played it off to be on purpose!! How funny! Also, I think that must be a regular practice for kids to have a stash, my son does that as well, they must be part pack rat as these ages!

I agree with Megan, she really was a lot of fun in February. It was neat to really see her cute personality. I think Vanessa misses getting to hang out with her cousins.
