We had THE most beautiful weekend! Temperatures reached 80 degrees on Saturday!

We had plans to go downtown Seattle with friends to end our spring break with a fun family day out....

But instead, this is how I spent the weekend. My eyes hurt from staring at a screen of one form or another and my limbs are tingling with the need to do something. Thursday evening I became suddenly ill....ill meaning so sick I made
Karlin take me to the ER. It was discovered there that I was actually experiencing
pre-term labor. Contractions were coming about every 4 minutes. So after a couple of tests, they gave me a shot to stop labor and sent me home. Contractions started up again right after I got home, so the on call doctor (my worst enemy) has put me on bed rest and some anti-labor drugs until I can get in with my OB on Tuesday. So here I sit, bored out of my gourd.
Karlin has kept the girls busy, and has started to adopt some of my favorite phrases:
"There is no way to get anything done quickly!"
"Both of you....get along!"
Music to my ears. :) Hopefully when I see MY doctor on Tuesday, this weekend of bed rest will have payed off and I will be able to get back to normal life....All prayers are welcome!

what a great soundtrack to your dilemma! your yard looks beautiful! i am so sorry you had to miss out on your fun day. being housebound is the pits, especially on a gorgeous day. i'll be praying that all goes well tomorrow!
Hope you are doing well! Just keep up the "bed rest" and it will soon be over!
It will all be worth it when you hold you sweet little guy in your arms for the first time!
I tried to think of something funny to say to help you stave off boredom, but alas, I'm not the comedian in our marriage.
It's funny, as moms we treasure getting to stay in bed and get extra sleep when we can, but when it's forced (and constant) it's no fun! you'll be in our prayers! I hope you feel better!
Mom told me all about it! Scary! I'm glad they were able to stop the labor!
Sorry you had to deal with the craptastic doctor! I hope your REAL dr. has better news tomorrow! Sorry your fun weekend plans were stifled! Bed rest sucks, I only had to do it for like a week and I was SO BORED!!!!
I can completely relate to your doctor woes. For some reason, some doc's just have a power complex and refuse to actually listen to what you have to say.
I hope that you are feeling better soon and that your appointment went allright this week.
Bed rest sucks but at least you'll be able to catch up on Oprah and all those daytime soaps! :)
