Cannon Beach, OR

We headed south of Seaside one day to show the kids Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. Note the winter coats on Klare and I, the cold bodies.
Unfortunately, the environmentalists have taken control of the rock and it's surrounding tide pools.
This is about as close as the kids could get.
We did find one starfish and the kids were amazed!

The town was full of BEAUTIFUL gardens and hanging baskets.
The Cookie Co. was a family favorite for lunch.

What's a vacation with kids with out some form of illness....Klare came down with Fifth's Disease, a harmless virus. No symptoms except for red cheeks.
The rain welcomed us home to Washington. It was nice to get away.

What good memories I have from Cannon Beach. Zac and I spent our Honeymoon there! It was cold then too...did you guys go to that great salt water taffy place?

Oh, I'm so jealous, I wish I could go there again! Everything is so beautiful there, even the rainy picture! Poor Klare, that's a cute picture of her though!
