We all love Laura. She is our neighbor and surrogate Grandma/playdate extraordinaire. She took us to see the most amazing nesting of Great Blue Herons. They have like a 7 foot wing span. It was incredible.
There was well over 50 nests here, right in the middle of the city!!!! And while we are talking about birds, we have seen a Bald Eagle in our very own yard (flying closely over head) FIVE TIMES since JANUARY!!!!! Isn't that amazing?! Earth Day is working.

Woah where did you see all the herons? My mother in law LOVES herons and would get so excited about something like that.
