1am-Wake up to find Karlin cleaning house (Mother's Day at it's finest) and Krew with a fever of 105+.
1:15-Take Krew to ER, send Karlin to bed (he had been up since 3:45am).
1:30-Admitted to ER, the first of many trips with Krew if he is anything like his father.
2am-Commence X-rays, blood tests, snot tests, pee tests, ear and throat test.
4am-Everything is negative. Hooray! Just a MEAN virus. To be safe, IV anti-biotics are given and copious fluids injected.
5am-Start decorating for my pity party.
Me to the nurse, "So you have to spend your Mother's day working all night? (aka-it's a bummer you have to be here, and therefore a bummer for me, too.)
Nurse replies, "Well, it doesn't really feel like Mother's day this year. My son is in Iraq and my daughter is leaving for Afghanistan."
Me, as I start popping the balloons for the "poor us" party, "Ohhh, and do you only have two children?" Sometimes I don't know when to stop talking....
Nurse humbly replies, "No, I have a 12 year old son. He is severely autistic, and is in an Inpatient facility in Texas."
Pity party officially cancelled. The Lord has reminded me again to count my blessings!
6am-Sent home. Fever is down. Krew and I hit the sack.
10am-Wake up to breakfast in bed. My favorite Salish Lodge Oatmeal! Hooray!
1pm-To church to hear my daughters sing to the mother's. So sweet! Karlin takes Krew to fill his precautionary prescription.
3pm-Home for a fabulous dinner and dessert. Spend the rest of the day loving my children.
Like I said. It IS a good life.

Mom told me about poor Krewsie! I hope everyone is feeling better now! I meant to call you, but I've been dealing with a sick baby myself, his name is Jason! :)
