Gratitude: Week 13

This week I am grateful for Becca, and all she symbolizes. Who is Becca? She is our pet hummingbird. She has visited us sporadically through the cold winter months, always causing a mad rush to the window so we can all catch a glimpse.
Now she is a regular visitor to our large tree in the front yard. As soon as we hear her familiar squeaking chirp, we all know to look to the tippy-top branch. Karlin says she has "little-bird" syndrome, and must always be at the top to compensate for her size....hmmm.
At any rate, it's great to be out in the yard again! I bought all our seeds on Saturday. Per the childrens' requests, we will be attempting giant pumpkins again.
My sweet husband got a load of the worst smelling dirt around, nothing quite like it. I think it wins us points with the neighbors....

Welcome Spring!

We love hummingbirds! We have a couple that frequent our house enough that we have to fill the feeder weekly!

I love nature, as if I need to tell you! It must be fun to watch for that tiny little bird every year, and they do love Cedar trees. They always nest in Grandma T's.

Glad you were able to get the garden going. Gardens are so great for kids, and give the adults some excercise!
