Gratitude: Week 26

The first week of summer was for the birds.....so to speak. It began when we got an excited call from Kennedi's friend Kennady. She lives just down the street and knows that peacocks are Kennedi's favorite animal. She told us that there was a peacock on the loose on her street and that we should come right a way! We left so quick I didn't grab the camera. A picture taken with my phone was the only evidence we left with.
The next day, we discovered a beautiful bird injured(?) in our raspberry patch. After a quick check in our bird book, we decided he was a Cedar Waxwing. They are berry eaters. So, what did Klare have to do next?
While I was working in the garage, Klare found a stick, stuck one of our raspberries on the top, made a step stool out of a bucket, and went to feed that bird.
Amazingly, it worked!!! He ate multiple berries all afternoon off of her stick, and became known as "the bird that trust-es me!" She was in heaven.
Then down to Oly the next day to see Purple Grandma and Kayli. We went to Tolmie....gross.
Krew started his long summer career of rock throwing.
Then a sleep over with Kitty Grandma and a trip to "The Blue Candy Store!" This week I was grateful for the birds...
