Gratitude: Week 27

This week we were grateful for the U.S.A.!!!Headed down to Oly on Saturday, July 3rd. First stop, the rez for some explosives. The girls posed for a quick shot.
On the way from the rez to Grandma's, we saw another random peacock running along the road...what the heck??? Kennedi was beyond excited.
Lunch at Meconi's! Michelle and Peter came over for the weekend.
Another trip to Tolmie....
just as gross the second time.....
but Michelley and Peterini improved the view! So cute.
Then on to the fireworks at the mall. Krew was cautiously interested, as long as mom or dad was near by.
Kennedi serenades the tolerant crowd. Hey, free entertainment people!

On Sunday, after church we had a 4th of July reading and sing along. Sterling read THE Declaration. Awe. Some. Very touching.
Then Sally tickled the ivories while we sang all the patriotic hymns.
Reluctant singers....."Let's just sing the first verse...." Oh, all right...
Standing while singing the National Anthem. Very powerful and wonderful.
Then outdoors to the cul de sac for the fireworks! This year, we had an outer circle for watchers and sparklers.
And an inner circle for lighting the bigger stuff.
Peace. Of. Mind.
Klare was cold...."Look, mom! I'm Mary!"
Krew a little more reserved tonight.
The kids in their darling 4th of July outfits handmade by Kitty Grandma. God Bless the U.S.A.!!!
