....to bring to pass the extended life of raspberries. ;0) It seems that preserving fruit is a right of passage into motherhood. So, Saturday morning Karlin and I took the girls to our favorite U-pick raspberry patch and gathered 20+lbs. of raspberries. Oh my goodness....that is a lot of berries. Seven batches of jam later, I am hoping this year I have made enough to last until next July. Karlin was a huge help, making bouncy balls with the girls as a fun science project, and then helping me with the last four batches. I love a productive Saturday!

Wow, that is beautiful, and looks yummy too! Hope you have room in your freezer!
Do you get to eat any of that yet, or do you have to wait a few weeks to heal? Looks really good! We are hitting crunch time with our plum tree in the back yard. Vanessa has been filling her mouth (and consequently, many diapers) with plums. Hope you enjoy the jam for a long time to come.
Can't wait to move back where there are U-pick places. I miss that...do you have an extra freezer to store all your jam? Can't wait to have the room for one of those too...we are actually still eating our strawberry jelly that we canned when we lived in Maryland...I do like freezer jam more though, plus not so hot to make!
way to bring on the post-surgery projects - woohoo! we just made peach freezer jam - although not seven batches! you're awesome!
wow this makes me really hungry now. yummy!
7 BATCHES?!?!?! Your a maniac! It looks delicious! We have a peach tree in our back yard, and I thought about making some jam from those, but I hate going out there, cause there are SO many bugs!!! Oh well, maybe next year I'll be more brave!
WOW! How do you do it? You are amazing!
