So last Sunday, FAST Sunday, we arrived home from church to discover sparkling red strawberries lining the edge of our strawberry bed that borders our driveway! Woohoo! The first berries of the season! We each quickly found a hand full and began to devour them! Our next door neighbors, also members, were just getting home also. We generously offered them some of our prized first harvest, to which they ODDLY declined. Only after we had had our fill, Karlin gave me a "look". "What, did you get a bad one?!" I asked. "Mollie, we are fasting!" D'oh!!! Well, at least we have 1pm church, so it WAS already 4pm.....Cursed Strawberries!

First of the Season!

ha! what a yummy treat - worth breaking your fast on, i say!
I had a mission companion that jammed a cookie in his mouth seconds after saying our prayer to start a fast...the flesh is weak! At least you got to enjoy them for a while before you remembered.
Wow, they ripened up fast. They were just pink on Saturday! I'm sure you will have have lots of yummy desserts from all those berries!
I love strawberries and jealous you have enough space to grow them.
